Worldpainter

This is just a little thread to inform you of a particularly useful Minecraft mod I found a while ago.

Basically, Worldpainter is exactly what it sounds like: it allows you to paint Minecraft worlds into existence. It seems to me like a "minute-to-learn-lifetime-to-master" tool. Anyways, it is very enjoyable, and I hope you'll get some fun out of it as well.

Never used this program before, but I'll try it out sometime.

I got worldpainter...problem is, I don't know how to actually play in the world I made.

Is it fairly simple to do?

Just go to File-->Export world, and the world you've made will mathemagically appear in your Minecraft game.

No problem, though good luck waiting through the exporting sequence, it takes a long time.

I've been playing around with this, and it is AWESOME. The forests you can make are really nice, and I made a really epic map using it. Sadly there are a few bugs, most of which were my own fault, but its still way more fun that a normal world. Holding down the elevate terrain button makes really epic mountains

I love this program. SO useful. And it's really simple to use.

Infact, making my new adventure map with this program (to terraform the world).

This really is a great program. Using the elevate tool and some different terrain brushes, I made an incredibly epic mountain:

(And through biome control it snows up there too )

It even has biome control? Alright, that's it, I'm getting this thing tomorrow!
